Due to the present COVID-19 pandemic, the Coventry Sub Aqua Club has suspended several of its activities, including its weekly meetings. However, we look forward to resuming all of our usual affairs later this year.
In late May 2021 we returned to our usual meeting spot, the King Henry VIII School swimming pool, for swimming and limited pool training. Theory training remains online for now.
We will be able to bring the whole club together when the country enters Stage 4 of the UK Government’s “roadmap to freedom”. Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on 14 June, this is expected to be around 19 July.
Throughout the pandemic we have kept to the latest advice from the British Sub Aqua Club, Sport England and other national bodies. We have also adhered to the latest local and national regulations and restrictions on group meetings and activities. In addition, we have kept in regular contact with the team at King Henry VIII School to ensure that we are following their rules and expectations when we are onsite.
Until we resume our normal activities, we are not able to take on new members. We will happily answer inquiries about the club and its typical activities if you would like to join the club in the future.
